Fern is finished!

When the Pixie Couture series was first released, I was on the fence about some of the pixies being featureless. But, I didn't put much thought into it till a few weeks ago. In my discussions about them with hubby, he pointed out that not having features gave them a mannequin-like appearance which fits well into the "couture" idea. I'd be a fool to argue with that kinda insight, especially since it meant that I could now stitch them guilt-free. ;)

Fern was my first small Mirabilia and took me about a week to stitch. I made some minor adjustments to her right shoulder and arm just to smooth them and balance them out and boy, do I love the greens in her. :)

The Particulars:
Fern by Mirabilia
Fabric: Ancient, 32ct hand-dyed opalescent lugana by Picture This Plus
Stitched 2 over 2
Floss: DMC, Kreinik
Beads: Mill Hill
Started: July 23rd, 2011
Finished: July 31st, 2011

She's beautiful! Although, I like the Pixie Couture range, I prefer the ones that are in profile becuase their faces look less strange...

Looks lovely, Joyce and I like your husband's logic about the faces! I can't believe how quickly you got her finished. Speedy! Love the colours in her and the fabric.
