Summer Lotus Pond

Part 7 of the Chinese Garden Mandala was released last Friday. Martina included both the Summer and Autumn scene, as well as the lotus borders that envelops the seasons, *squeeeeeee* and all my intentions of finishing Mermaids of the Deep Blue first went flying out the window. ;)

I'm working on the lotus borders for the Spring and Summer scenes in tandem, and still have backstitching to do. However, I finished the Summer Lotus Pond... with over 1 kois!!! They're so darn cute and I just couldn't resist sharing this gorgeous scene with you guys. :D

Oh gosh, you're not making my resistance to Chatelaines any easier. This weekend Boyfriend pulled out the, "maybe you should finish stitching what you have, first" when I mentioned wanting a Chatelaine :(

Gorgeous work, as always!

Oh, how I love this design! Over the past few months, I've been admiring all the Chatelaines on various blogs and on their website, and out of all of them, this one is my favourite. It's just too bad that my to-do list is already so full of other projects that I know I can't add any more big things to it and realistically hope to finish them... I'll just have to settle for admiring this design in other stitchers' blogs and keep stitching my HAEDs - they are just as gorgeous and I really want to fnish my Fairy Wishing Well. So congrats on the wonderful progress and thanks for posting the Chinese Garden Mandala pics, I love them!

Wow!!!! It looks awesome! :D I haven't started mine yet, I keep procrastinating for some reason. I guess the over one has be a little confused, lol. I love over one so I don't know what my problem is, lol. But, I am writing down my conversions on the instruction sheet, then I will get going. :)

So lovely! The whole pond is gorgeous but those lotus flowers and lily pads!

Um, so I bought the pattern for Japanese Octagon Box. The main panel looks very pretty... And I have a piece of fabric that fits...

You have had a busy weekend stitching Joyce. This looks so beautiful, I love the detail and the koi are so cute. I have hardly stitched this weekend (and it was a long weekend for me). I have my never ending catchup on Baroque saga going on!

Can you catch up on mine since you are stitching this so fast, lol. It's beautiful. Can't wait to see the rest. I hope I am going to be able to mirror the border, I may actually have to print it out for once.

Wow! that is gorgeous, Joyce! Your stitches are perfect and look at those Koi!!! they are soooooo flipping cute!

My Uncle had a Koi in the backyard pond, when I was growing up. He was a huge fish, very beautiful too. I loved watching him swim around. Poor thing got scooped up by a bird.

Love your work!! :D
Stunning, as usual!

Those little Koi are the cutest little fishies I've ever seen! Make those things I'm stitching at the moment look like monsters, LOL.

Your close ups show just how beautiful your stitching is. Fabulous work.
