Chinese Garden Mandala - Some border

I will admit that working on the outer border for Chinese Garden has been very trying. :) I tend to forget how big the mandalas get, and stitching repeating lines is not usually in my list of "Top 10 Exciting Things To Do." ;)

But I persevered, no matter how many times my heart tried to talk me into stitching another Mirabilia pixie. Last night, the final stitch for the Greek key (for the bottom half) went in and I will be scrolling up for the top half tonight. Adding that gold Treasure Braid totally transformed the whole look of the border. Martina is a genius!!! :D

See the algerian eyelets? They're so darn cool in here!! :D

Once the top half of the border is done, bring on the ming vases, bamboo, flowers and *squeeee* over 1 phoenix for the top border!!!

Yeah boarder (I still cannot get over that cute duck)! Pixie's are tempting, but they cannot compare to what you are working on now! Can't wait to see more at the top. The Maiden (AKA Joy, he he).

This is so beautiful! Martina's boring borders frame the whole piece to perfection. Please continue stiching to a finish.

Even if the border is dull to work on, it looks so pretty! Good luck with finishing it off and getting back to the good stuff!

Joyce, I completely agree with your words about Martina. Embroidering her designs I'm doing a lot of beautiful discoveries for themselves and always think that it - genius:)
Your garden is magnificent.
Very nice and neat stitches in the frame of the lotus, lovely ducks and more. You can watch and enjoy the long, long time.
Good luck in the final stage!

The border looks great-especially the gold backstitching on top of the black. I do have to say, I wouldn't mind seeing another pixie start :)
