Friday Randomness

This will be a picture heavy post...

Lego. Just the word alone conjures up memories of fun. Hours and days spent putting little pieces together, and letting your imagination run and soar to discover endless possibilites.

Legoland Florida is a recent addition to S. Florida. While we haven't made it there yet, it's a definite on our list and we fully expect to be charmed and awed by all the models on display. However, I doubt they will compare to the magnificence that is Germany's Legoland.

I am in awe of such talent and artistry. Oh, to be there in person to see this...
Germany’s LEGOLAND opened on May 17, 2002 in the Bavarian town of Günzburg. The park consists of more than 40 rides, interactive games, shows and entertainment, but what is more impressive than the rides is the detailed lego models in Miniland which showcases Lego reproductions of various German cities and rural landscapes.

Let's go!! I love Legos! Got DS hooked on them at a young age. Of course I wasn't as fond of them than as I ALWAYS found the missing piece in the middle of the night while barefoot! Those little buggers are sharp!!!

Wow. I have to say I'm not a big lego fan - too many lost pieces and too many step on a lego moments - but I have to admit these look pretty awesome!

Amazing! Everything made of Lego!!
My brothers had a lot of Lego. Mum often had to empty the bag of the vacuum cleaner to get the missing pieces back.

I have a hard time believing that's all legos. I mean, I know they are... but I still have a hard time believing it!

Rumor has it all the Legos that came into our house over the years were really for ME, not the boys. I can neither confirm nor deny that statement.

I <3 Legos :)

I love Legos! I used to have a Lego zoo for my class, and this makes me want to break out the menagerie again (if it's for the children, it's okay to play with Legos, right?) I've been to the Legoland in Carlsbad, CA, and it was just wonderful..US landmarks instead of European ones, but fascinating to look at. They have Lego Volvos there (I'm a Volvo fan, too) and my big disappointment was being too tall to drive one. I hope you get to the Florida one soon!

wow, that is amazing. I always loved to play with legos, whenever we visited someone who had them.

oh wow - that is just too cool! I wonder whether all the people building and planing this had as fun as it looks? That would be a fun job to get into in the morning, I bet.

I've stepped on too many Legos in my life to be a big fan, but a visit to Legoland might change that. These pics are incredible!

I cannot show this to my other half. Otherwise, we'll be moving to Germany immediately. We might just do it anyway for that is awesome.

Our prize Lego set is the Imperial Star Destroyer from Star Wars (the 3000+ piece one). So we have lots of gray pieces ahaha.

Jaw-dropping, simply jaw-dropping! I have to echo everyone else in being amazed that all of that was built with Legos. Love. :)

Incredible pictures, Joyce!!

I took my boys to Legoland in Windsor many years ago and have very fond memories of that time - thanks for reminding me.

Not bad, but honestly, the UK one is bigger and better LOL.
The Large Boy and I don't need the rides, we can easily spend all day wandering round the Lego World part like the one in your photos.
I have now been relegated to "sticker putter-on" when we build, he no longer needs my help for the tricky bits!

WOW, beautiful works. I didn't liked it when I was a child. My favorit toy was Playmobil.
