May's 2-for-1

For the second time this year, the moons, ... ok... moon, aligned, ... ok... was new, IHSW and TUSAL came together for an explosion of epic proportion coincided on the same weekend.

And lookie!! 131 HERMITTERS' BLOGS to drool over this month! Have fun checking out each other's blogs. :D I'm always so inspired when I look at your pictures.

My TUSAL jar eagerly waited for ORTs to be thrown in, I mean, isn't that what IHSW is all about? So what if this was also the first weekend of Diablo III's release? I mean, I now have the game, it's not like I have to play it all at once.

I stitched.. yes, I did.  Proof?? You mean... *lips quivering* you don't believe me? *wipes off a tear* I don't know why you'd doubt me.... I was so good... just look....

What do you mean "what's that?" Why... it's a butterfly of course. Can't you see it?? No? Yeah... neither can I. Needless to say, poor Butterfly was seriously KO'ed by D3 this weekend. We played most of the weekend and are almost done with the 'normal' difficulty of the game.

Many of you will be happy to hear that the general consensus is that we decided we can't game like 20 year olds anymore. There are too many things going on in real life that we want to do and enjoy. So, once we finish this level of difficulty, we'll be playing the next two difficulty levels at a more moderate pace. ;)

On the TUSAL end, not much addition this month. Over 1 stitching leaves very tail ends as there's always a length left that I put away for later use. LOOK!! Even my fountain fish is giving me the evil eye at this month's IHSW failure...

Beautiful over-one stitching, Joyce! I'm glad we're not going to "lose" you to Diablo III!!

Sadly my Computer can't quite handle D3, you have no idea how sad I was after getting my download for it to tell me I couldn't even play! *sad face* My Boyfriend on the other hand is now on the "Hell" difficulty...which this weekend was a good thing as it gave me plenty of time to stitch! :D

WHAT's THAT?!! Oh, it's a butterfly! LOL!! It is really pretty though :D I love how you are redoing the game in hard mode now! I love the evil eye from the fish! He says "GET CRACKING JOYCE!!!!"

I just joined up and I'm so excited at all the inspiration I'm going to get. Love that you juggled both gaming AND stitching. The butterfly is going to be terrific. Those are some tiny stitches!

Can't see that butterfly... you've got to stitch some more!

I feel your pain! I'm trying hard to stay off of Epic Mickey in favor of stitching, but the pull is great!

I can just see the fish saying, "Naughty, naughty Joyce." Your little butterfly is going to be adorable when you can drag yourself away from the game.

Looks like you can sense the D3 thing in the bloguniverse, too ;-)
At university some guys "seem to be ill" since last week ;-)
Funny that you say, you can't game like a 20 year old anymore. I tryed playing a computer game a few months ago (I was really 20 then) and though "I can't game like a 16 year old anymore" :-D
Progress is still progress and I love your stitching.

lol Joyce! Personally, I think you did great! All things considered... ;)

I'm still in my 20s and I can't game like a 20 year old anymore :(

Beautiful stitching, very delicate!

But you did do _some_ stitching, so that counts! :D

The way I look at it, any progress is still progress. So you done good, Joysze. Glad you're enjoying Diablo III too. I love to game, and so I totally know how it is when it gets a hold of you. Fun!! (I also understand that you can't game like when you were twenty, lol. It's harder to stay up late and get up early!!) Can't wait to see your butterly done!! And all those teeny over one stitches, wow. Great job!!

I am LOLing at you so much. Love the update.

Carla said...

Maybe if I squint, I can see the butterfly ;)

Can't wait to see it become a butterfly! :)

Hmmm, I'll have to take your word that that's a butterfly. LOL Great over 1 stitching though!

Bea said...

You got in some stitches, that's all that matters. Besides, over 1 should count for double, right?

Nice that you could do some gaming as well.

Considering the pull of D3 I think any stitching over IHSW is awesome, regardless of what the fish thinks!

HAHAHA.......I love how you write, Joyce!! So clever, so whitty, makes me giggle out loud every time! LOL!! I LOVE that you're stitching as slow as me now! MWAHAHAHA!!!!

Your stitching and orts looks great.

Well I think you did great, especially considering that D3 is out - all I want to do is play as well, so I know the feeling ;)

Veronica said...

Um... *Squint*... Nope, still can't make out the butterfly :P Poor thing. Hehehe...

I was taking it very slow. Am still at Act II at the moment. Kinda mad that Deckard Cain died in such an insignificant manner so I boycotted the game for a bit :P

Hugs,
Veronica.

I love that you still game like a 20 year old. :D

And I love your fountain fish. LOL.

Doesn't D3 have THREE more levels of difficulty, not two? *runs away* :p

I've been overindulging a bit too, but hey... why not have fun while it's shiny and new? :) I do wonder about the people who are complaining about the story, especially the writing. It's Diablo, it's SUPPOSED to be cheesily dramatic! And it's about 1% over the top dialogue (emo templar, this means YOU!) versus 99% punching ugly demons in the face, so who cares? ^^b

Great TUSAL photo! Great stitching all things considered! I believe you when you say it's going to be a butterfly! Wow, so many blogs to go and visit :o)

Oh Joysze,
Now I need to give you a kick in the B**! Where did your stitching mojo go? All swallowed by that evil thing called C-O-M-P-U-T-E-R (or even worse ... Diablo) LOL!!!
And what about Serengeti? You already have your kit for what ... a month - LOL?!
Have a nice day!

If I squint and twist my head just right I *think* I can see a butterfly - sort of like those "magic picture" thingies...

Well, it looks like it will be something pretty :)

Lol about diablo and not being twenty anymore. New computer just arrived so I will be playing it soon. Hubby already started.

I'm sure its a lovely butterfly...

Nice little TUSAL display!

Of course it's a butterfly. Every stitcher sees that right away:-) happy game-ending! Thank you for hosting the IHSW!!

Mangogirl said...

It's more than just not being able to game like a 20 yr old and get up in the morning it's the fact that you have work the next day not a lecture that starts at 1 that makes it impossible to game. Phill loves D3 he had to play D2 for a month before D3 came out! Beautiful stitching :D

Isadarena said...

Your one over one is delicate, Joyce and I am sure we'll see really fastly a beautiful butterfly !!
A little "Hello" to my friend I don't forget :-))

Very nice stitching and pretty ORTs. I thought we'd lose you to Diablo for good. At least you got SOME stitching done!

Ah one over one, it really made such a difference in your last butterfly that I cannot wait to see this one!
