September WIPocalypse

Imagine my surprise when it hit me a few minutes ago that I actually have something to show for September's WIPocalypse!! I don't know how it happened!! Oh yeah, I spent time stitching instead of gaming. *giggle*

Poppy's skirt is all done! Yeah!!! I spent all of yesterday stitching on the grey blue of her wings. Can't see it, you say? Look closer... it's almost the exact same shade of the fabric! Once the white and kreinik goes in, it should be fine. I'm hoping that it'll give the wing and almost 'see-through' effect. We shall see. :)

The new camera is fabulous! We need to spend time learning how to use it though. This quick pix of Poppy was taken indoors this morning with the the Auto function. (Don't mind my shadow.) It's a tad on the bright side,  but the colors are pretty darn close!

I did read the small manual in its entirely ;) and I have the Owner's Manual on the Kindle, so I'll start on that soon. Gotta learn how to use the aperture, manual setting, and all that good stuff. :D

I was down to 600 blog posts to read before the weekend but now it's gone back up to about 670. Let's see if I can get it down to less than 400 before the week's out. *fingers crossed*

Very pretty. I love all of the shades of red in the skirt. Reminds me of a UFO (or is it a WIP?) that I really should work on. Nice fabric choice too.

Beautiful work! I can definitely see the wing and I think the white and metallics will really give it definition.

The camera looks great, and I'm an amateur photographer, so if I can help you at all, let me know.

Poppy is looking better and better (you've been a good girl stitching and not playing .... much.... I Know you're still leveling eheheh) and the pict is great... so I can't wait for you to learn all the tricks on your new camera to have some professional looking photos... I'm imagining you in the future having the stitching projects "modeling" for you... eheheh
Hugs :D

Beautiful stitching! You have a great camera to take such a good picture. It's always hard for me to get pictures of red pieces to come out looking right.

Poppy looks great. I have been trying to figure out how my camera works since I got it about 2.5 years ago. They can be tricky.

Poppy looks amazing, such lovely reds.

My blog-reading tip for getting the numbers down: scroll down the lefthand side bit where it says how many unread posts for each blog. Click on any with more than 5 unread. Read them all in the reader, launch one and comment on that one only. Move on to next blogger!
That way you're still reading and commenting but you're clearing them more quickly than one at a time.
