Wanted: Dead or Alive - The Time Bandit

I finally replied to your comments via email today. Some of them are two months old and I cannot apologize enough for being away for long. I will be catching up with your blogs this week as much as I can, and I hope you can overlook my lack of comments.

I've missed you, my dear blogging and cyber friends and it is no one's fault but my own. Even hubby reminded me a few times to blog. But, do you find that when you fall out of the habit of doing something, it becomes an "oh I need to, I really should" but never quite get there kinda thing?

I got lazy, that's what I did. No ifs, ands, and buts about it. I thought that with being unemployed, I'd have all this time to stitch and blog. I mean, that's what I always talked about when I had a job... "Oh, to have more stitching time," "Oh, to have more time to read blog." Well... I got that time, and it all got eaten up by sitting around and playing games.

No regrets on that end though, as hubby and I had a blast hanging out, sleeping in, and doing as we pleased for the entire month of December, but this is 2013 and things need to get moving.

So, to that end, I have for you a picture of Lady A. I stitched quite a bit on her this past weekend. (IHSW was a bust for me... I did a lot of H'ing and absolutely no S'ing. ROFL!!!)

I have two colors finished on her skirt and have started the third. There is a blend for the lightest shade upcoming and that's always fiddly for me. So I'm hoping it won't take too long.

Like a lot of you, I'm looking forward to getting to her face. It'll be great to see her take shape. I haven't decided how exactly to do the chopsticks yet... adding some pearls on the ends might be kinda nice? Or maybe some beads from the skirt? What do you guys think?

Hugs and thanks for sticking with me through all the quiet. I'll make it up to you. :D

Love the skirt - I'm such a sucker for any shade of purple. I think the pearls would be an awesome touch.

I think everyone goes through a period of not blogging. I may not always comment but I do try to read.
The skirt looks like it is coming along beautifully. Can't wait to see more.

It's good to see you back! You know what they say..if you have 100 things to do you'll get 50 of them done, 10 things to do you'll get 3 of them done, 1 thing to do...you'll think about it tomorrow, lol. I'm glad you were having fun and feel fired up and ready to go again!

A post AND some stitching! Wow! hehe ;)

Lovely work and I know just how you feel, I think it is the new year and the weather making me lazy and have little energy. I have spent tonight catching up with blogs again with comments very few and far between.

In reply to your email Florida is now booked! :D Two whole weeks, I can't wait. Yep we will be doing Sea World, Universal, Busch Gardens and anything else which takes our fancy. Luckily my other halfs Mum who we are going with is also a crafter so I hope we can take a detour or two to some craft stores while over there - everything is so much cheaper in America compared to here!

You shouldn't have to apologize. I think everyone should understand life gets in the way of electronics sometimes. Or electronics get in the way of electronics haha. As long as you are safe and happy it's what should matter.

I'm glad to see an update from ya though. The stitching is beautiful. I think adding beads would be beautiful. I love the touch they add to pieces.

Progress is progress, and it's looking so pretty, I love purple. Pearls sound nice to me. And I totally know about games! My friend lent me her Ipad until I get my own, and I played 'The Room' until I completed it.. lol took me a few hours to say the least. Then I had to pull myself away from it, and stitch otherwise I wouldn't have gotten any done. Happy Stitching for 2013!! :)

You're not the only one. I kinda stopped blogging for a while too. Love your colours of Lady Alexandra so far. I'm thinking of stitching her in red. Bright, loud, screaming fire-engine red. What do you think? ^.^

Hugs,
Veronica.

Welcome back to the world of the living - LOL!!!
I'm glad to see that you've started stitching again and you've made some nice progress on your lady (I can't wait to see her face as said before).
I would go for a cluster of small beads at the end of the chopsticks - like you see in movies and such.
I'm also lusting :-) for the Chatelaine zen garden and will be subscribing as well (same thing for the new peacock mandala :-).
See you soon!

It's good to see you back again! I've been hit or miss with my blogging, so I know how hard it is to get back in the saddle again. Lovely stitching!

She's looking beautiful.
And I@m guilty of the same, when ever I've got free time coming up (even if it's only a couple of days), I make all these promises of the things that I'm going to achieve and I'm doing well if half of it happens! Did it when I was made redundant a couple of years ago as well!
