Random Afternoon Question

Hello, my dear blogging friends. First of all, an apology.... I've been playing catch up for the last 2 weeks on your blogs as work has been super hectic. I'm feeling yucky today but went in this morning to take care of some stuff and meet with my boss. I'm now home, and hopefully between finishing more work and napping, I'll be able to spend some time with your blogs.... I sure have missed reading them. :)

Today's question is another result of email chats...

What is your least favorite color to stitch?

After some thought, I've decided that mine is black. I hate how the threads are so saturated that they're 'thin' and as a result, doesn't yield the best coverage.

I agree, I don't like stitching with black either. Sometimes I can get pretty sick of stitching with white too though.

I hope you feel better soon!!

Mine is black too, i just don't see where i am after a while the holes in the fabric just seemed to dissappear.
The Woodland Guardian has a lot of black at the end of the pattern, so i think that i will need a lot of cheerfull little wips to keep me going then.

Hugs Yvon.

Color does not matter to me; but I don't like confetti! The less colors to mess about with, the better! ;-)

I am not a big fan of tone-in-tone stitching either, like white floss stitches on white linen etc. Don't like to stitch for hours and end up with "invisible stitches"!

Have a great nap, Joyce. I think that I feel one coming on... yawn ('xept I'm in the office right now...)

My favourite colours are yellow and green, but that doesn't mean I like stitching everything with them LOL
I like sooooooo many colours - can't choose :) I do know that I don't like to stitch very bright coloured stitchies...

Wishing you better times, more strenght to your days and loads of stitches! And a warm, long hug :)

Maybe it's just me but I swear green threads tangle the most. Could be that they're the colour of frogs. -_- Mostly, there is not a particular colour I hate other than white on white or black on black, etc.

mm, it doesn,t matter wich colours...i like everything!
I just want to stitch.
but sure i like the light and bright colours the most!
Hmmmm, good question. I guess it depends on the fabbie. I don't like anything very close in colour to the background as you don't feel you have stitched any, but then I don't like anything highly contrasting to the background either for coverage reasons. So in short it seems that really I hate stitching all colours and I don't know why I bother!!! Thanks for the lovely comments on my blog BTW, you are lovely xx
It is not very reasonable, but I really don't like stitching yellow. It seems to get dirty and messed up quite easily, and for some reason, I always end up knotting it like crazy. I end up using it a lot anyway, though, so it's not a serious aversion!

Great amount of black are surely a challenge. but I think what i don't like is stitching with colors too color to the fabric's color: white, light yellow, etc. It's hard for to know where i am with those :)

I like almost all colors, but I really, really don't like stitching metallic thread. Absolutely hate it. Even with Thread heaven.

My least favorite is also black! I dont like how its so thin and it frays so easily. So most of the time I will leave black to be the last color I stitch! I don't know if thats a good idea or not! I probably shouldn't put it off!

I don't like black either because the coverage seems to be so poor compared with the other colours. A close second comes white which I'm not too keen on either!

Interesting question! White on white, black on black, blue on blue... If I have to pick generally just one colour it would be light blue.......
White. Especially next to red when I forget to do the white first and up with red "blood" over the white.
