Petal Fairy - A New Arm

Stitching kinda took a backseat over the weekend, as we went to the mall on Saturday.... something we haven't done in months and months. I was good though, didn't buy anything and came home allergies. I figured that trying some stuff in the clearance rack at Macy's did me in!!!! That'd teach me to go to the mall instead of staying home and stitching, huh? ;)

Petal Fairy finally got some love on Sunday.... I recharted her arms as as they were really 'wonky' in the chart. I didn't like that she had rough kinks in them and smooth them out instead. Also, her left hand might have been charted with some fingers to disappear under the pink folds of her skirt and ended up looking like a claw to me... so I added fingers. It looks ok so far..... will know more when the pink part of the skirt goes in.

As of last night, all the yellows are done.... yee-haw!!!!! :D I'm really loving the combination of the yellow and purple... I hope the pinks will work out as well.....

You don't stitch like me . I prefer to stitch first the head and the the clothes. It will be a surprise as you do

Wow, you're brave, just re-charting. I've never tried something like that and I don't think I'd dare, it'd just end badly. It looks brilliant though!

Shes growing fast Joyce! I think your going to be finished her this month for sure! :D

She is looking gorgeous. Wouldn't dare change anything though. I worry enough about changing colours.

Fantastic re-charting - I can't wait to see how your version will turn out. I completely agree that sometimes, the Mira arms or legs or faces are a tad too simplistic looking, considering all the beautiful detail that goes into dresses, wings etc.
I agree that those yellows are really pretty on that purple linen. I bet that the pinks will be evenn more awesome! Have fun stitching on her!

Pretty petal skirt! Too bad you didn't find one like that in Macy's!! Lol! I too love the combo of purple and yellow. You are very brave to rechart the hand!! I think if I did that the result would be disastrous!!
