Random Afternoon Question

I've had such a busy day that I totally forgot today is Random Afternoon Question day. I quick message to Brenda, my partner in crime *mwa-hahaha*, yielded this question...

Do you stitch Halloween pieces? If so, what is your favorite design?

I like looking at them, but I don't stitch them as Halloween is not my kind of "holiday."

On a sidenote, thanks for all your comments. I love reading them. :D I get email notifications from Blogger, but some of your emails are not listed and as I result, I'm unable to reply directly.

I love all Halloween stuff. Since Halloween is a typical US holiday (at least to me), I full embraced it once I moved here. I am allowed, even encouraged to, to decorate my house "tackily" - love it!
My favorite holiday back in Sweden was Easter, since that is celebrated with many wonderful traditions. Part of them do have similarities to the Halloween celebrations here.

I LOVE Halloween and Sundays are my Halloween stitching days. The most of a designer is Lizzie Kate but I have a ton of others that I like to stitch.

I have not done a Halloween piece yet, but I have some patterns in my stash. I really want to stitch one. I just got a cross-stitch catalog with some really nice Halloween designs. I will stitch one eventually, but alas it will have to take a number along with all of the other want to do projects. :)

Thanks for your sweet comment on my card.

I love to stitch Halloween designs! My favorite so far is the Lizzie Kate ABC Halloween design. :)

I don't celebrate Halloween at all so no stitching Halloween stuff for me. Although, I do like the crows, pumpkins, and leaves stuff so I will stitch some Autumn smalls instead!
A lot of Halloween patterns are fun, but as far as holiday stitching goes, I've only ever done Christmas stuff. I found a book of holiday charts from the 80s at Goodwill with some really dubious inclusions, though, like "Apple Day" and "Happy Olympics!" so maybe I should look through that.

I have stitched a couple of Halloween pieces. My favourite designer of Halloween is Lizzie*Kate and I have a few more to do. It is not terribly big here in GB but I do put a few things out.

in the UK we don't go so much in for Hallowe'en so I don't feel particularly drawn to stitching Hallowe'en pieces (especially not for one night when mostly I'm just trying to avoid the kids knocking on the door!) I have two exceptions though, the Halloween Fairy kit by Mirabilia/Nora Corbett, and Trick or Treat Fairy by the same from Cross Stitch & Needlework Mag. That's because I'm a big Mirabilia fan. I'm currently working on Halloween Fairy (as part of making the full set of holiday fairies.)

Halloween has never been a big thing in Australia (but you can find more decorations now). I have never stitched anything, but I loved all the decorations/pumpkins etc that I found when I spent a couple of weeks in the New England area in October.

I am tempted to do some Halloween ornaments at some stage as seasonal decorations

I did see an old Mirabilia Halloween Fairy I would have liked to do, but it was in an old magazine, so it's not for sale now. I also saw a couple of cuties at ABC stitch, but I won't buy them, it's not a big holiday for me.

Not so far but I do have quite a few Halloween and fall patterns in my stash. Usually by then I am on to my Christmas stitching and since Halloween is not my favorite holiday either and school is still crazy I never seem to get around to stitching any of them. Maybe someday...when I retire!

Halloween is more and more comming over here, but still not a big happening in the netherlands.
It's more about selling as much as merchandise as you can I think ;)
So never did a halloween-stitch :D

(owww my other piece is a granny bunting ;))))
