Sweet Pea Finished!

I finally got my act together and decided to feel well enough to to finish Sweet Pea. ;) Thanks for all your well-wishes. We're both feeling much better now.

Sweet Pea has the least amount of beading of the pixies I've done so far, but the 8mm beads make up for a lot and her jewel tones just grabs you and doesn't let go. Don't you just love her ruffles? :D She also took much longer than intended too, having had to go on hiatus for Chinese Garden Mandala.

The Particulars: Sweet Pea by Mirabilia
Fabric: Ancient, 32ct hand-dyed opalescent lugana by Picture This Plus
Stitched 2 over 2
Floss: DMC, Caron Waterlilies, Kreinik
Beads: Mill Hill
Started: February 19th, 2012
Finished: March 31st, 2012

For her finishing, we opted for a purple fabric to pick up on the darker shades in her dress and I went with a soft pink ribbon as highlight.

Congratulations on your finish, it's beautiful. Love the colors you chose for the finishing. I've always thought this would make a really cute baby sampler as the ruffle she's holding in her hands looks like a baby to me.

Oooh... Another finish. That's it, your close up pics have convinced me. Sweet Pea is definitely going on my to-stitch list along with Bluebell, Ivy, Holly, Tiger Lily and Water Lily. In fact, I had just order the supplies for all those pixies ^.^

Hmm... I don't see Ivy in your list of finishes. Trying to remember if you stitched Sweet Pea on the same fabric as her.

Hugs,
Veronica.

Hooray for such a beautiful finish! I love the fabric choice, it does really add something having the purple fabric there, and nicely set off by the pink ribbon.
