"My Memories Suite" Software Giveaway

A couple of months ago Liz from My Memories Suite, a digital scrapbooking software company, emailed and asked if I'd like to host a giveaway. Of course I said yes!! Giveaways are so much fun!! She generously offered me two copies. One for my own use and another one as a GIFT!!!

I was all set to get on it right away, but as you well know, I became horrendously preoccupied with a certain game and I've let this fallen by the wayside.

OH!! *slaps forehead* Which reminds me... I owe the following to Butterfly. (Click picture to enlarge. I'm sure after you'll agree with me that Monk-ette means well.)

Aaaaanyway, back to the subject at hand. I finally got my act together and after some 'duh' moments (poor Liz probably wanted to throw in the towel with me) downloaded the MyMemories software and went to town! Boy, I have to tell you guys, this program is slick! And so addictive. Best of all, My Memories Suite works on both Mac and PC and you can install up to three copies on your computers.

The software itself comes with ready made templates and you can use these however you please. Stick with all the elements provided in the pages or delete and add them as you build. The font library is as big as the font library on you computer which means many moments spent playing and deciding on just that perfect font.

The available kits, both free and for purchase, are mindblowing. Like a certain template? Clicking on it will lead you to more from the designer. After all, we ARE in a collecting state of mind, aren't we? ;)

I decided to create some showcases of my Mirabilia pieces for this post:

Most of the elements in here were from the original template.
All I did was moved them around, deleted some shapes, added the ribbons,
picked a font, and arranged the pictures.

Other than the pattern on the bottom right, this was practically built from scratch.
I discovered, to my glee, that I could encase my picture into different shapes,
and the heart seemed perfect for her. Just for fun, I added the clothespin and
some stitching lines at the top.

I wanted this to be a matter-of-fact piece. All the explainations are
right in there, straight up and clear as day.

I have a feeling I haven't even begun to chip away at the tip of what this iceberg of a program can do, and I plan on spending lots of quality time with it. Picture books, videos, scrapbooks... oh, and did I mention that you can add music as well?!! Ahh... the digital world. I LOVE IT!!! :D

Want a chance to win your own copy? It's easy. :D

1. Head over to MYMEMORIES and have a look around.

2. Leave a comment below as to which kit you would use first and for what occasion. BTW, "just because" or "just for fun" counts as occasions too. ;)

The deadline to enter this giveaway will be midnight EST on AUGUST 15th, 2012 and the winner of the giveaway will be selected at random.

Joyce, I really like the pages you've created - great variety in colours and styles. But scrapbooking doesn't "float my boat" as they say, so I'll pass on entering the giveaway. I'm sure you'll have oodles of people adding their names. Good luck to them.

I've got this giveaway in progress too, Joysze. (I only have two entrants, :( which I don't like.) Hope you do much better!! And yes, it IS addictive!!
I would use the "Back to School 2012" kit because my boys are starting school soon, and their grandmother would absolutely love it (and stop begging for pictures for a little while *lol*). Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

This looks like a lot of fun!!
I love what you did with your pic's.
I used to do a lot of scrapbooking but in the paper and glue way and not digital.
I like to give it a try but still have a lot to figure out.

Hugs Yvon.

I have been using a different scrapbook company, and this looks like it would be so much simpler to use!! I'm excited to see this.

I scrapbook every event in our lives - I decorate our home with cut out pages, etc. I have to say that I would LOVE to try the Chicken Butt to document the constant jokes I hear about chicken butts between my hubby and our youngest. That would be way too much fun for me!!

Oh, this looks like such a fun idea. I love how you have your stitching displayed. Hmm... That's probably the first thing I'd do if I win too. Looked through the kits and I must say Sewing Room by A Saxon Creation caught my eye. It is, after all, in my favourite colour blue ^.^
