July IHSW Report

For a list of July's Hermitters, CLICK HERE.

Hello fellow hermitters!!! How were your weekends? Mine was pretty good, though I didn't get to stitch as much as I would've liked.

I found out last Friday that my dad has prostate cancer so I spent a lot of my weekend researching the disease. We don't have a prognosis, but they gave him a Gleason Grading of 4+5, which is not good. :( He has a bone scan scheduled for early August and a CT scan for October. I think the October one is too far away so I'm having my parents look into going to another doctor. I don't think they've done any staging either cos I saw the report and the information wasn't there.

They don't want to do anything invasive with my dad, so no surgery or radiation or anything, but they have him on meds. I would so appreciate your prayers for a full recovery. :D

Ok... to the topic of the post... here is my IHSW progress. :)

I'm sorry to hear about you Dad...I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Your stitching is looking wonderful, however I cannot say mine was as successful, in between doing a 5k for cancer research and chores I had NO stitching time....arrrgh!
So sorry to hear about your Dad. Will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Your chatelaine is gorgeous, as usual!

Sorry to hear about your dad. You are right to question the timeline. My dad went through it and they implanted the radioactive seed. He did fine with that. Hopefully they will be able to help your dad.

Joyce,
So sorry to learn this about your DAD. I can very well understand why you did not get much stitching in.
I will say a prayer for you all.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I can kind of understand your feelings, as my stepdad (who is more like a dad to me) was diagnosed with bladder cancer recently. I hope something can be done for your dad, and I will be thinking of you and yours.
And the butterfly is looking great! xx
