IHSW Jan 2018 A Bluebell Finish

Having done an abysmal job keeping IHSW going on blogland in 2017, I'm hoping I'll do better in 2018; although seeing as how I totally missed blogging about January's upcoming IHSW, it's not looking good. LOL!!

The previous Sign Up widget we were using doesn't work with Blogger anymore so I'm stealing Jo's idea and using Mister Linky's widget. So first things first, I hope you Hermitted this January weekend. If so, hook us up with your eye candy! :D

As of last year, you can also find IHSW on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/757401391130415/

I really haven't been stitching much over the last few months. Mojo was MIA due to... well,  no reason at all. I wasn't gaming, I wasn't reading... it was just generally meh. I do think it's due a big part to us getting up much earlier cos of hubby's job and by 10pm we're usually half dead. So I'm going to have to figure it out. Maybe stitching in the morning before going to work, but I don't know if that's going to work out.

Meantime, Yexian has been calling. Now, y'all know I'm generally an OAATer and the thought of leaving Bluebell half-assed done with floss and beads floating around just did not sit well. So I hunkered down, gave myself a stern pep-talk and finished her up this weekend!

The Particulars:
Bluebell by Mirabilia
Fabric: Opal 32ct opalescent lugana by Picture This Plus
Stitched 2 over 2
Floss: DMC, Kreinik
Beads: Mill Hill
Started October 21st, 2017 (I think)
Finished: January 20th, 2018

Here she is with her other sisters in our closet. I chose a backing fabric from stash that friends had sent me and she looks almost too pink on that line up. Oh well, too late now. It was either the fuchsia or a blue and the blue was most yuck. I'm gonna need to do one more pixie to fill up the space at the far right, but that'll be much further in the future.

Congrats on such a lovely finish. I think this is the most inspiring thing to do as a SAL host..finish a project. I haven't been good with blogging either last year, posting once a month only . I will try to be better.
I'm also essentially a OAAT stitcher , making small projects for birthdays etc in between.

I added my link up.

And your Bluebell is still gorgeous! Do you have a tutorial you followed for your fairies (or have you posted one?) I think that might be nice for the holiday fairies so I can rotate them :)

Stunnning finish, well done.
Bluebell does look gorgeous! I agree she looks very pink with her sisters, but I think depending on the colour choices for the last 'slot' that won't be a problem.
It was so much fun to hermit again last weekend!
Oh my, Bluebell is such a beauty! An amazing finish, congratulations =)
I hope I can squeeze in some IHSW this year, I always loved the idea, but during the last year I was so busy, that I didn't participate, so I hope to do better this year =)
